Junior Golf 2024
The Best Junior Golf Program in Santa Barbara
At Twin Lakes, we create a stress free environment which is key to any child’s development. Not ONLY stress free, but FUN! We are committed to making the experience enjoyable for your child without sacrificing a skill development. Simply put, the more fun your child has playing and learning the game, the more they will want to play it and learn about it.
We will focus on instruction that will enhance our Juniors' skill develpment. The curriculum is designed by California PGA Teacher's Hall of Fame Member Don Parsons will focus on building the skills that will allow players to develop solid fundamentals with regards to the full swing, short game, and putting along with on course skills that will last a lifetime.
Our programs are designed for all skill levels, but most importantly we want our juniors to fall in love with the game of golf! Full swing, chipping and putting will be taught in a fun, game-like setting. Creative ideas and techniques are introduced to golf while providing juniors with basic knowledge in a safe and game-filled environment.
Twin Lakes Minis are 5-6 years old and Twin Lakes Juniors are 7-14 years old

Winston talks about him almost every day and Mick is the highlight of his week. Great coach, energy, and is a natural with kids!”

Nope! That’s what we’re here to provide. Juniors will begin by learning with Snag Golf equipment and will progress to US Kids or Cleveland junior clubs when they are ready. The Discover Golf and DG Wee programs are all about fun and engagement for ALL juniors, not just the tournament players.
-
Not to get started. We have clubs here that juniors can use to start their journey. Our coaches can let you know when it’s time to buy clubs for your junior and help you choose an appropriate set for your child’s size and ability.

Definitely not! Wear comfy athletic clothing and tennis shoes. No need for strict dress codes at this time. When they are ready to head off to play at the country club, we’ll make sure they understand the concept of dress codes.

Parents can stick around if they desire. But, we find that sometimes that can be distracting. Our goal is to create a kid friendly environment where the juniors feel a sense of community with friends new and old. That’s one of the great things about the game of golf!

The weekly classes are an hour for DG Wee and 2 hours for Discover Golfers. A snack is not needed for these sessions and we have a water fountain available.
During the week long camps for Discover Golfers we will have breaks, we will provide snacks and it would be a good idea for your junior to bring a water bottle as well.
